Its Hot, Its Humid and...

Its Just Not Nice

So we are still in Disneyworld. Its been quite a week lets see. Mom and I rode Rockn' Roller Coaster featuring Aerosmith 4 times, including the first time which was actually my first loop coaster, and in case you didn't guess I LOVED it! Not much else except for the fact that we're in Disneyworld. We leave tomorrow and go to Gainsville and see grandmama and we also get our mail, yay. Well talk to you all later.

Happy Trails,
Mari

Here We Are...

in beautiful Disney World!

Well we got to Disney World yesterday and we are having an AWESOME time! We went to Epcot yesterday afternoon and that was pretty cool. Test Track was really great, but mom and I weren't too fond of Mission: Space, it gave me a headache. What is really great is the Disney Dining Plan, its $37.50 per a person per a night you stay. You get a table service, counter service, and snack each night and yesterday we had a dinner for about $120 which was completely covered by the dining plan. Well today we went to the Magic Kingdom, and now it really feels like we are here, WOW! And the greatest thing is that we don't feel bad coming back from the park to our hotel for a swim in the afternoon. (I swear I am almost done!) Tonight mom and I had a great time, we rode Thunder Mountain Railroad twice in a row, and on the second time we had really great views of the fireworks going off, so far its one of my favorite memories, really great, quintessential Disney. It is so hot though, but one great thing we have now is a water bottle with a fan on it, a personal mister, that really works, a wonderful idea made even better by ice in the water. Well I gotta go, I need to rest up for tomorrow.

Happy Trails,
Mari

P.S. I too believe that homework on vacation should be illegal, so someone should send the police to my AP teachers : ) (See Comment on last entry)

Catchin Fireflies...

or not!

Well we are having a GREAT time in Tallhassee. We have gone swimming a couple of times and, yesterday we went gator hunting at a state park nearby, but we only saw the very top of one. Last night dad went for a walk and he saw fireflies and then told mom and I and so we went for a firefly walk, I even took a cup along to try and catch some but we weren't very succesful. Today we went out shopping (so I could get my book for English homework garrrr) and we also saw a turtle out by the house. Well tomorrow we're on our way to Orlando, talk to you then.

Happy Trails,
Mari

Takin' a break...

in Tallahassee

So yesterday we drove from Baton Rouge to Tallahassee. We encountered some weird weather along the way. We even had thunder and lightning going off right around us, a little unnerving if you ask me. But we made to Grandpa Marvin and Grandma Patti's house safely. Not a whole lot else going on but we are still having a great time, and we miss you all.

Happy Trails,
Mari

Out of Texas and....

into the deep South....

Greetings from Baton Rouge, LA

We had originally planned on staying another day in Houston and then doing the drive all the way from Houston to Tallahassee, but earlier in the trip, realized that was absolutely nuts! (About 14 years ago, we did the drive from Tallahassee to Houston in one day, with a 2 1/2 year old! You would have thought we would have learned that time. Funny thing is that Mari was fine on the trip...I was the one that was going crazy, maybe it is because 2 1/2 year olds don't really entertain you all that much!) So, we cut a day off of Houston and broke up the drive by stopping here for a night.

Nothing much else to report for now since today was just a driving day. We are all very excited about getting to Tallahassee tomorrow. We get to see family! Dad and Patti. Mari is very excited because she has been saying for days that she can't wait to be able to talk to someone else besides us (So, Dad and Patti, watch out, she might talk your ear off). Mari is going to have a very rude awakening when we leave Knoxville, TN and then don't see family again until we get to Grand Teton! That will be a very long spell!

Well, that is all for now...Dave is asking for the computer.

Talk to you soon-
Nicole
